as far as i know your cpu will work at 100% as folding is using the spare left after the pc uses what it needs
Correct, (in my multi cpu core version anyway - smp2 v7.1.24). The software is configured for 100% cpu usage by default (recommemded), and the 'FahCore priority' is configured for 'lowest possible' by default (recommended). This way f@h does not consume resources when other funtions require them.
The 'Percent CPU usage' and 'FahCore proirity' can be set in the f@h software client configuration control panel by clicking configure tab/advanced tab, but the default setting normally should not present any problem with other funtions. I would only suggest occasional monitoring of cpu temps to ensure they are within max safe range for your particular application. Also more frequent maintenance may be required, such as blowing dust out of the cpu heatsink because the cpu cooling fan will likely be running at high speed more consistantly running the cpu @ 100%.
Now my CPU is stuck at 100%:
I know this post is about a month late, but did you get your F@H software running okay?
I hope so. If not please post to this thread again.
