Outlook 7 locked

Clicked on "email" button in Word 7 by mistake.  Now Outlook 7 won't even open.  How do I fix this?

Open Word select help then about and outlook are you using there is no seven.  Are you talking about Word Perfect 7?

Under Word Option select Resources

What error message are you getting when you attempt to open Outlook?

Thanks so much for trying to help me.  I just tried a reboot and it worked.  I thought I had done a reboot last night, but evidently the reboot didn't complete.  When I tried today, I had to click on "Force Reboot" because Word wouldn't close.

Please be precise in the wording of your posts.  There is no Word 7 or Outlook 7.  Do you mean Word 2007 and Outlook 2007? 

Are you saying Outlook will not open if you try to open it from your Programs menu, not from within Word?  With Word open, what happens when you click the Email button in Word?
