    [HELP] Changing IP
    « on: September 13, 2011, 04:57:19 AM »
So, I recently switched my ISP, and now I have a router and modem. With router, I easily changed my IP, but now idk how to do it with router and modem, I tried unplugging router. Did not work. Hope someone can help me on how to do it with router+modem. D-link is my router, webstar my modem.

edit: Just tried unplugging both modem and router, still wont change.

Err... do you mean external IP or internal IP...?

You weren't changing your external IP, you were changing the LAN IP.  If you have a really good reason for needing a different IP you can talk to your ISP and they can change it for you.  They won't however do it just on a whim or daily basis :)

You also won't be able to choose what your external IP is changed to.

Can you answer Transfusion's question above?
