IE page wrapping?
« on: September 07, 2005, 01:36:42 PM »
Hi I'm new here and I wonder if theres any chance of some kind person helping me with this problem.

I've got a new computer and IE wont make the page fit to the window, if I've favourites open or something else then I have to scroll accross to see the whole page.  My old computer made the pages fit to the window.

theres probably a very simple explanation but I'm a technobimbo and not too hot on problem solving.

any help much appreciated

Hello, Yogi.

Can you tell me the resolution both computers are set to?

You can check the resolution by doing the following:

1. Right click on the Desktop
2. Select properties
3. Go to the settings tab.

the new computer screen is set to 800 x 600 pixels.  old computer dead so I can't check - sorry.

I dont have problems viewing anything else, its just IE that is too big for the screen.

This forum is OK on the screen but others dont fit... and my webmail page requires me to scroll across

Have you installed videocard drivers?

Try setting your resolution to 1024x786, if your other computer was of recent make it will most likely have used this resolution.
