sending photo attachments with emails;

I have tried everything but cannot send attachments,  nothing works;  should I just give up or
has anybody please got a reasonably simple solution ?

You have given us very little information to go on.  Do you normally use webmail, i.e. access your email via web browser, or do you use an email client such as Outlook, Outlook Express, Windows Mail, Windows Live Mail, etc.?  Exactly what happens when you try to attach a file and send it?  How large are these files?  Are you unable to send any attachment or only larger ones?
