    Windows 7 boot problem
    « on: February 06, 2012, 10:26:51 AM »
Installed Windows 7 and was successful for a couple of entry's but began to display a
Windows Recovery Screen .Selected both options 1.Run Start up repair 2.Start Windows normal.
Start up repair takes a few minutes and ends with StartRep.exe Application Error

Possibly the boot disk from online install was a bad burn, however Vista and Windows 7 Startrep.exe "Application Error" problems are often caused by:

      Hard drive fault
      RAM fault

you can do the chkdsk/f command from the commmand prompt.

open start menu, search in the  box for CMD and then type chkdsk/f in, if it requests a restart, then say yes and reboot pc to get the checkdisk to start working.
