web not opening

i don`t understand why it`s that when i`m using google chrome, i can`t open facebook, gmail, google, even typing in url doesn`t provide google search. other websites just work fine with chrome. but when i use other browsers like IE eth. goes normally. does it`ve any explanation. please help!

What you say is not clear.
Is this what you mean?

When I type 'Facebook' into the Google search bar it does nothing.

My copy  of  Chrome goes of Google when I hit the home key. What does yours do?

When I type 'www.facebook.com' into the url of Google chrome it says 'webpage is not available',
 similar thing happens with gmail address.
But at the same time if i try these addresses in internet explorer, the web pages open up easily.
that`s what i meant !
please help !
