    « on: March 04, 2012, 11:29:26 AM »
I recently, had too replace the board in this unit.  The odd thing is that I cant get it setup like I had for some reason.  I installed AD, DHCP, useing intergrated DNS.

I downed the DHCP on my Router, gave it a static IP.  I cant ping too or from the unit but, the other machines attached can ping each other

I redone everything.  It appears to be a DNS issue.

Well, this is a computer help forum. The usual format of a help forum is....you ask a question, people try and help.

You have not asked a question, you have just supplied information on what you have done without mentioning exactly what you are try to achieve. Therefore creating a pointless thread............

Your lack of proper description is confusing me. You have to describe the network that you've created. You mentioned a server then a router and now clients. How are they connected? Clients to router to server ??

Im still fairly new to working with all this.  The people that I want to connect to the Server are connected via a Router

OK, So where have you pinged from exactly.

Have you pinged from the client to the server?  You could use the tracert command to see how far the signal goes.

and if you use the tracert command you can see where the connection fails.  If you ping from the client to the server there can only be 4 places it can fail......

I'll try that when I get the chance.  Sadly, I am not with the unit; Since we are experienceing network troubles. I cant do anything from where I am ether.

You never seem to be at the machine you come and ask about...
A much more effective way of troubleshooting would be for you to reconsider that strategy...
