    all of my software was lost in Katrina. i would like to reinstall windows 3.11 on a computer to play with my old stuff but need a bootable floppy to make my restore cd work. do i have to write a batch file to do this? and how would i do this? thanks in advance. you guys are the coolest to donate your personal time to help people  and i tell everyone i know about you. Again thanks

    Windows 3.11 by itself is not a full operating system. It requires Dos 6.22 or similar DOS as a foundation for the HUI.

    There are bookable  versions of DOS that can boot from a CD or a USB. Traditionally, DOS is installed from a floppy.

    Dos 6.22 is a Microsoft product and is cover by copyright. If you are the legal owner of both DOS 6.22 and Windows 3.11, you may use a bookable CD or USB if you can not get a floppy to work.
