    Mac Leopard crash?!
    « on: March 26, 2012, 02:50:14 PM »
My mac just froze and i couldn't do anything so I had to turn it off using the power button, when i booted it up again i got an folder flashing with and question mark in it, from what i've read this is a sign that the computer cannot find a bootable hard drive. I am not that good at computers, know some basics at windows but when it comes to mac i'm lost. I have tried booting into safemode which works, the problem is that I have not made any backup with time machine, now is there anyway to retrive the old information again? I know in windows you can just go into safemode and do a system restore but that's not quite how it works in mac i understood??  ???

Read something about connecting a second mac to it in order to gather the bits and pieces of information that might be left... could this work?

    Please help! :-\
