I did an update for Windows Vista and i had to restart it for the update to takeplace. So i restarted my computer and beep codes occured. The sequence i had was a 6-2-2-2 My BIOS is Pheonix. I looked into this and have tried multiple things and ice loade the bios defaults and it didnt do a thing. But i noticed in my Boot Device Priority the only thing that was installed was my CD-ROM Group. All other groups like HDD,Floppy, etc. werent installed

    Welcome!

It almost sounds like the cables to your drives came loose. But that does not realty make much sense. An update does not unplug cables.

Best guess is that your CMOS battery died and your lost the settings in the BIOS. Look at the BIOS settings and see what else you find that seems odd. Is the date and time right?

With the beep, something about hardware went wrong. If I were you, I would disconnect and reconnect everything one more time. If the beep still occurs, take out one and boot and see if it stops beeping, that the problem device.
