Nvidia help
« on: July 08, 2004, 10:44:46 PM »
I keep getting the folowing error message at start up
Error loading c:\windows\SYSTEM\Nvcpl.dll
I know it got something to do with nVidia because after installing the latest drivers this is the message I got.
I know how to get rid of the message by going into regedit>local machine>software>Microsoft>windows>current version>run then deleteing it from the right pan but is this safe to do?

I suggest you remove the drivers you have installed, then proceed to reset and reinstall them.

You could use a program such as:
http://www.driverheaven.net/cleaner/ - Driver Cleaner - freeware

To fully remove your old drivers.

If using XP (you failed to mention the OS btw) can you go back to a previous restore point?  What about installing the drivers again.
