Communication with different windows versionsssue that I have never been able to

I have an issue that I have never been able to fix.
I have a Drafting program in Windows 98
I have a tool pathing program in Windows XP
I have a design program in Windows Vista.
Right now they are on THREE different computers.
Is there a way to get them all communicating on the same computer ?
My tool pathing program is on Windows XP becase That was my last computer that had a parallel port
and the machine works through that

If needed I will be glad to supply program names and any other info required

1.  I suppose you would like to use the WinVista computer for all 3 programs?

2.  Is the Drafting Program compatible (i.e. will it run) with WinXP or WinVista?
3.  What is the name of the program?
4.  Does it run from Windows or DOS?
You can try Microsoft Virtual PC 2007 (it's free) on WinXP and/or WinVista.

5.  Is the Tool Pathing Program compatible with WinVista?
You can add a parallel port expansion card to most computers.
Or you can use a USB to parallel converter cable.

Thank You  Computer_Commando  I think you might have solved my problem.  I will look for a adapter from Parallel to USB
I am sure everything would run on Vista, and better yet I like Vista the best of all of them
