I was offered an update for my adobe acrobat reader but it wont let me install it unless i agree to install the yahoo toolbar aswell. Any ideas?

I believe that I gratefully declined the offer, didn't update again until another update was released.

Either that or I simply downloaded the latest version from Adobe.

I have no Yahoo toolbar, yet I seem to have the latest version.

The Yahoo tool bar is pretty cool, my dad has it on his pc. if you dont want it then you can just uninstall it, if it wont let you do that, then just disable it.

Simply go to the Adobe website, and download the real version. Sounds like yahoo! edited the install files, so you would have to install their software as well...

the yahoo search is........xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx........... no need for any toolbar  seach.......loaded with spyware......listen and learn a thing or two.

I agree with Merlin. If you need ANY toolbar addition, you also need the spyware that goes with it. And you WILL get it.

Better to avoid problems than try to fix them later.
