I have two dimm slots on my mobo. The first was originally filled by a 256. I added a 512 to the second slot and the computer booted but had a blank screen. We removed the 512 and the computer still showed nothing on the monitor... any ideas?

They are the same ddr and my mobo can handle up to 1 gig of  RAM.
