reintalling xp
« on: August 31, 2012, 08:50:23 AM »
I have a computer that the hard drive went bad in.
Can I reintall and activate windows with the product code sticker on the bottom?
(I have never done this before)

If the "product code" you are talking about is the product key for Windows XP then yes, you can. Be sure to download and install all drivers after doing so (starting with the chipset driver).

Home Edition will not work...
You will need to find a CD with a version that matches yours...or contact the manuf. for Restore CD's...
