Computer Hope Forum problems and update

Yesterday the forums encountered some problems as most of you know. I performed my normal tasks to fix the database tables and get the forums going again, but for a reason I've still yet to determine they were not able to come back up. For several hours I tried to resolve the issue, but couldn't come up with a solution so decided with the problems maybe it would be just be best to update to the latest version of SMF 2.0.2. Unfortunately, it still seems buggy and appears to be some other issue with the server dropping the database tables.

I plan on continuing to work on this issue so it's likely the forums will be going up and down while I perform different tests. Also, because I decided to update the forums all the mods and previous theme changes have been lost. I've been doing small updates as I've had time on the second forum, which is why this theme has a few modifications, but after server issues are fixed I'll still have a lot more work to get the themes and mods all up-to-date again.

I went into withdrawal yesterday when the forums were down. I must say my initial impression is positive re the the new appearance. I may need some assistance to find my way around the new format but what is the joy of life without new challenges? Appreciate all the hard work and effort that you put into providing this marvelous medium.Nathan thank you,truenorth

Thank you everyone for your patience. I'm sure for anything people don't like or want back from the old forums it can be added in the near future. Don't want to do too much theme modification until I get the stability down. I'll post another forum update post like I've done in the past that will allow everyone to provide input again with what they want changed on the forum, since most of what is seen is the default SMF forum theme.

What I would like is for someone to go into the malware forums and remove all the malware expert's names except evilfantasy and myself.

I am what you call a lurker and for years i have been visiting or stumbling across this place for various problems i encounter with my computers and have always found a solution here.

So thank you Nathan for this great community and fixing whatever problems there maybe.

I haven't experienced any but i only drop in here when i have some problem that needs solving.
