This doesn't make any sense I can't see the router from a desktop unit but I can see it if I have a crossover cable plugged into my laptop. I can't ping the router from my desktop unit but I can ping it using my laptop. However in the server in the desktop in it can both see a connection out to the router. I try plugging the client back into the router which was originally trying to the server it can see the router.

      I have a compaq ego

      Commiserations.

I have ... DNA running on it.

From computer technician to genome project wizard in one bound.

I'm guessing by the time you read this post, you will already have decided to reinstall everything?
Only able to visit the forums sporadically, sorry.
