I'd go to passmark and look at the benchmark results, as suggested in this other forum a few days ago. http://www.computerhope.com/forum/index.php/topic,133710.0.html you will want to look up both GPU's there. For the fact that they both have same memory its a safe bet that the GPU benchmark will indicate the better as well as ASUS doesnt slouch on performance such as a questionable brand with a good GPU could bottleneck due to cheap parts used etc.

the GTX 550ti is the winner here
comparison you did here is not fair...it should be something like 6770 vs 550ti

BTW you didn't mentioned your gaming requirements
    at what resoultion ?
    do you want AA ?
what games are you planning to play
If i was at your place i would have dumped 550ti and looked up for HD6850...
you'll notice day and night difference  8)

PS: make sure you have a powerful PSU
Some people like my advice so much that they frame it on wall instead of using it !
