    intermitent blue screen of death
    « on: October 16, 2012, 02:33:00 AM »
Usually when I start up my pc for the first time in the morning, it either freezes, sounds an alarm at me or I get the blue screen of death.
I then force a shut down and reboot. After about the 3rd or 4th attempt, it turns on and works fine.

    any clues??

    thanks

It could be that you have bad memory. Try downloading, burning the cd from http://www.memtest86.com/, and testing the memory. Report back with the results.

    Download BlueScreenView:
    http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/blue_screen_view.html
unzip downloaded file and double click on BlueScreenView.exe to run the program.
when scanning is done, go to EDIT - Select All
Go to FILE - SAVE Selected Items, and save the report as BSOD.txt
Open BSOD.txt in Notepad, copy all of the content, and paste it into your next reply
