    Headphones not working
    « on: October 21, 2012, 02:32:52 AM »
I have an ASUS K52F laptop. Recently I reinstalled Windows 7 and since re installation the headphones have not been working. I plug my headphones into the headphone jack and there is no sound coming into the headphones. It only comes out of the speakers. So I go into the Control Panel and go into Sound. It says the headphones are not plugged in. I have tried getting drivers from the ASUS website, but that doesn't work.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Ensure that you have proceeded as per the instructions contained in the following site. If none of the issues related in the article and their solutions apply in your instance the 2nd page includes a Microsoft diagnostic/fix tool for sound problem issues. Once you have done all this return and advize of your situation.
