Reinstall Win 98
« on: October 18, 2012, 12:56:17 PM »
I was given an old Dell Optiplex 150 Series. That's about all I know about it for now.
Up until now about every tenth boot would take me to Windows 98. What I see now on boot up is a constant "no Primary disk 0 installed". "No Primary disk 1 installed". BIOS also shows no hard disk installed. I attempted a reinstall from a licensed OS but after several entries was told the same , "no hard disk installed".
Wondering what to try next? overthehill

Hard drive is probably dead.  Likely not more than 4GB IDE.
