I suspect this is just a limitation of your Android email client. Since you've set your email account to work as an IMAP account, the Android client is simply creating separate Inbox and other folders when it synchronizes with your IMAP server instead of using the standard, pre-existing folders in it (the Android client). If you were using POP mail instead of IMAP, I suspect you would not be seeing that extra set of folders in Android.
