DVD rom help

I just buile my own computer and im ready to load windows, but everytime I turn on the computer, the dvd tray opens, and when I put the Windows cd in, it closes for only a few seconds, then it opens again.  Is somthing wrong with my computer or is it the dvd rom?

well what happened to the computer does ir turn on? more information is needed.

try scanning for zombie/worms viruses ..strange as it may seem but they can cause this
