Desktop Icons & Links
« on: February 20, 2013, 12:56:40 PM »
I am used to simply right clicking on a desktop icon and changing its url.  But with Windows 8 I can't do that.
My question is.....how can I add an icon of my own choosing, complete with  the path whether it be a url or simply a link to an app.
Hope you can help me.
Thnx

The desktop acts the same in windows 8. Are you trying to change items in the Start Screen?

Yes. I want to add an icon linked to an application, url, etc.
I realize that it shows a lot of my Apps.  However there are a lot more that it didn't get picked-up.
Thank you.
