Wifi not working on laptop, fine on phone?!

My house's wireless internet went down last night, back up now, and my Android phone connects fine, but my laptop won't connect any more. http://imageshack.us/photo/photo/825/20130215095856.jpg/ I can't explain that well but the wifi on the taskbar says unidentified network, no internet access, but when I click it it says connected as shown in the picture. My laptop is hp compaq windows 7, fully updated windows as far as I know. Can anyone help?

http://mini-toolbox.soft32.com/ for mini toolbox. Select flush dns, list content of host, ip configuration, winsock entries, last 10 event viewer, installed programs, and  problem device from mini toolbox option screen. Post in reply so we can get some more imfo.

if you an find a better place to download mini toolbox by all means do it. The soft32 link makes you use there down loader which is probably full of ad crapware just giving you a heads up, dont remember were i got mine lol.

Thanks for the reply, I found a different site to download the program and ran it as you said, these should be the details you need.

I dint see that you flushed DNS. Make sure to do so. I would also reinstall Firefox when you can. It also appears your router isn't set up right. Check connections to power and modem and any Ethernet cables you have running. IN fact i would do that first. i will be back on later to nite and there's some great help in this forum if i cant help you.

ok saw dns entry. Looks like a layer 1 (physical) problem. Will check in later to nite.

Also renew you ip address. form cmd,exe type ipconfig/release than ipconfig/renew. OK there some stuff to do, for real this time i gottah go lol.    note: play with these if your sure your router is hooked up and online.

sweet alot of things happen a start up it looks like your computer might of fixed itself (literally)
