Advance Option Screen, can you please help?

Hi,

the operating system on my laptop is windows vista home edition.my problem is everytime i switch the laptop on it goes to Advance Option screen and i click on the windows run normally.
can you please help me to fix this issue?

I had a Windows 7 system that acted like this and I fixed it by reinstalling Windows 7. The oddity of this was that the system behaved after selecting Normal Boot, but once again on every boot or restart I'd get this Advanced Boot Options screen, and I never edited this to have dual boot etc. Reinstalling Windows 7 as a repair installation fixed this for me. Hi Dave,
I followed your advice however the problem still is there and my computer has gone very very slow, few days ago superdave helped me to cleanup my computer and it was running in a very good speed but now its gone worst than what it was before clean up!!!
can you please tell me what has happened?
