Are your virus signatures up-to-date? This might be a good time to ditch ME and roll back to 98 or 2000 (2k is the better choice). When you say system is having errors, do you mean blue-screens? Is your hard drive making funny noises? Have you got any spyware detectors like AdAware? Is it progressivly worse or all at once it started happening.
