Internet Explorer is gone

My Internet Explorer Icon on my desktop is gone. So my next step was to access it in the Start Menu but it's also not there. I don't know where it went. What happened? I restarted my computer to see if it would re-appear but it didn't. How do I get my Internet Explorer back. The only way for me to log on to the Internet is by going to My Computer/Favorites/Links. PLEASE HELP!

Create a new shortcut and tell the shortcut the path to Internet Explorer.
