Screen freezes on random solid colour
    « on: September 07, 2013, 06:31:27 AM »
While using my pc the screen will suddenly freeze, change to a solid colour, (red, blue, green, it is random, sometimes with lines drawn through it vertically or horizontally) and the sound will either keep playing, stutter, or stop playing(also random). When playing minecraft it will always freeze solid orange. I use windows 8 and i think my graphics card is a Amd radeon 700 series, i have the 2gb one but for some reason on dxdiag thingy it says 5840mb.

Unplug all power to the PC...remove and re-seat the vid card...power up and see if all is OK.
If not re-install the proper drivers for the card and Win8.
