Is Pokki for Windows 8.1 an ok interface program?

Unfamiliar with what interface to add to my new Windows 8.1 laptop, I found Pokki suggested as a good interface online at  http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-33642_7-57496506-292/how-to-get-the-start-menu-back-in-windows-8/ .

Below is the link to the Pokki, but before I install this I figured I'd check to see if this is the best interface addition for Windows 8.1 or if there is a better option other than sticking with the painful Windows 8.1 interface in which its still lacking for my needs?
