BSOD stop error: 0x0000001e

Back again guys. Unfortunately not good news. I removed the 2 old HDs I put in and left in the main drive that came with the computer.

After a couple hours of using it I got a new error:

It's still caused by the "ntoskrnl.exe" driver. What is this?

Do you still get this bsod if you don't hook up these drive you are trying to hook?

Check Device Manager...do you see any Yellow !'s or ??'s ? ?

PCdoc: Yeah I moved all the files I needed from the drives and disconnected them. Not planning on hooking them up again.

patio: There was one yellow ! for an "unknown device" in a USB slot which turned out to be my external harddrive. I've unplugged it now and will let you know if I get any more BSoD's.

Do you think this could have been the reason? It usually works most of the time, and works on boot, just sometimes after using the computer a while it becomes unrecognised?

I think you did not understand the question. When you have not hooked up the drives and turn on the machine, do you still get Blue screen errors???

Yes I still get blue screen errors when I have not hooked up the drives. If you're meaning before I even attempted to hook them up, I didn't get any errors, but I didn't really use it long enough to know for sure if I would have gotten an error or not.

After removing those drives, check all connected wires etc if they are properly fit, they should not be lose. Especially RAM.
