Outlook 2003, lost all emails and accounts
« on: October 22, 2005, 07:14:24 AM »
my son ran the "detect and repair" option and we now have lost everything and need to configure a new email setup, is there any way to restore our previous set up including all old emails etc? I find it hard to believe it has deleted everything.
I tried restoring "my PC to a previous time" but the only option was when this happened.

waiting in hope
cheers :(

Well... If System Restore has not worked, I doubt anything will... However, there is still hope... Who is your E-Mail provider? Sometimes they set it so that even though you read/delete e-mails in Outlook, they still save the message(s) on thier server... Contact them.

I'm hopefull that since we just upgraded from outlook 2000 (I think) old emails and contacts are still in a folder somewhere, not sure where though

yep, shouldn't have bothered
funny, I can still start typing addresses and the complete address comes up, so the info is this there somewhere.
playing with importing .pst files, no luck yet
