hardware recommendations
« on: October 30, 2005, 05:25:15 PM »
hi, i'm not sure if this is the right forum to be posting this, but here i go (sry of it is the wrong forum)

I recently was given an assignment in one of my Year 11 computing classes...

It says that i am supposed to recommend certain things to an imaginary company, with some budget limitations.

of this, there are two i am having trouble in doing

Can someone please tell me (or direct me to somewhere that can) some hardware recommendations for a server that can handle DCHP and DNS

and back up options to provide redundancy in case of a hardware crash, a fire or other type of emergency.

Any help will be greatly appreciated.....

At least you admitted it was homework. And you were polite, which also puts a check mark in the positive column.

Dell is a leading manufacturer of servers. Check out their site, and call their customer service with some basic questions once you have had a look at their product line. Just don't tell them you're doing a homework assignment.  ;)

There’s no limit to what you can achieve if you don’t mind who gets the credit.
