Adding an extra hdd on a windows 98se machine
    « on: August 13, 2014, 08:30:42 AM »
Hello!  I am new to this forum and I have a question.  I got an old 80gb IDE hdd from a dell dimension 3000.  Got it all plugged in with the slave part of the cable and it showed the no. 5 option in fdisk but it wont show up in "my computer".  What am I doing wrong?

Is the power connector inserted? Did you set the jumpers on the disk properly? Is the disk formatted?
