    I have an asus laptop and i have a problem with increase and decreasing level of brightness. help me plz.
    my operating system is windows 8.1 and i download and installed latest version of driver that is compatible with my OS. when i early installed windows, i installed drivers and don't have problem with it. but now after months suddenly it happened to me.

      They were Official drivers from asus support website.

        i can see OSD  that changing brightness, but i don't actually see any change

          I suggest try to press and hold fn key in your keyboard. Your laptop brightness will decrease or increase by pressing function key. If nothing happen, then I guess the problem is on your hardware.

          Did the OP give the model # of the laptop?
          Is it under warranty?
          How old is the battery?
          A failing hardware component can cause that to happen. Most often the battery or the power block.

          Also, a poor connection to the AC mains does that very thing, make the brightness go up and down.
