Can't install os x on new drive
    « on: October 26, 2014, 09:39:25 AM »
    Hello.

I have a a 13" white macbook mid 2009. The one with the removable battery. 2 g of ddr. Few days ago a blinking folder with a question mark appeared. I could not even go to the recovery mode and the hd would make a clicking noise. So I bought a SSD drive to replace the old one. The problem is the CD player on the macbook is not working anymore. Fortunately I made a couple of month ago a bootable version of mavericks on an hdd. The problem is when I old the option key it shows now 2 options ( install mavericks 10.9 and EFI boot) but when I chose to install the screen stays white and nothing happens. I'm pretty sure the mac is compatible mavericks.

Any idea on what I could do ?

    Thank you very much
