    Video streaming
    « on: August 21, 2015, 08:02:08 PM »
I have Windows 7 on my desk PC. I live in a country area and streaming videos is a slow job. I`ve tried all the suggested improvements but it is still bad with repeated buffering.
My question is, is it possible to download (time is not a factor) and then view at a later time without the stop and start buffering?
I know that on some streaming there is a grey strip that precedes the main download bit on the download progression line but not very often.
I would not have thought it was a difficult software project.

Hi Respigi, which streaming site are you downloading the videos from. Naming the website will be best to know the perfect solution for you.
Try Internet Download Manager, its features like "Automatically start downloading of URLs placed on Clipboard" and the "Grabber" functionality
helps to get files of choice.

Dangerous area of content to share here as for the info shared to cache a copy of it in its entirety could be used to save a hard copy of the movie etc to pirate it.  ::)

If it was youtube there is a grey tool called Youtube Downloader, which is intended for downloading personal videos and not copyright material etc.

He hasnt been back since 8/21, but just saying.  :-\

For what it is worth. Some forums claim that downloading copyright material can be legal in some cases.

Hey Lifehacker, We keep hearing about streaming services like Netflix, Stan and Presto for our entertainment needs, but what about a service where you can buy a movie or television show to download permanently? Personally, I don’t like streaming, but would pay for a high quality downloadable file. What are the choices? Thanks,...
Life hacker gives a few suggestions.
Of course f the OP might buy better gets better internet service.
Then downloading would not be needed.  :)
