Lets say that i downloaded a pdf file. If i put that file on to the desktop it will be there. But when you restart your computer or shut down your computer, you log back on and its not there.

If i download poweriso, i install it into c: drive and it will work. But when you turn the computer off or reboot it, you log back on and its not there

I know its not a virus. Its like a school computer you can only save it into your drive. If you save it into a desktop it wont be there

I think someone put a system restore or a default. so when you turn it off it will reset it to the what you had when you turned it on

I have a dell computer running windows 10

Was this system ever joined to a corporate or a school network? It might be a group policy that is making your user profile act this way.
