Formatting and reinstalling is not working.
    « on: March 24, 2016, 10:28:54 AM »
    Hey!
So I'm writing this post from my phone because I've got very limited options right now.
You see, the problem I'm experiencing is that I cannot install windows on my SSD. I've formatted with the installer, I've formatted using diskpart, I've deleted the partition and made it into unallocated space, but nothing is working. This is what it says when I try to install:
"Setup was unable to create a new system partition or locate an existing system partition."
I've unplugged my HDD to see if that was the issue, it was not. I've tried going from ahci to ide in the bios sata options. I'm at a dead end, and I really hope someone can help me. Thank you for any replies!

Did you remove the previous partitions and make a new one and format?

I am little confused but is it formatted or unallocated?  if unallocated try formatting it.

I've tried installing on both unallocated space and formatted space, it is not working.

Could you possibly link me a genuine windows 7 download so I can try to install? I mean the 30 day trial OS?

Could be an issue with the ssd drive. I'd try a standard hdd and see what happens.

Did you follow the manufacturer's instructions for the SSD preparation ?    lol , read the manual or online?

check the drives health if the maker has a program ...bootable one might help.

It does seem like something is up with this drive.

                  UPDATE:
I followed a guide from sevenforums, where I formatted and created a partition in diskpart. Rebooted, and had two USB's to choose from. If I boot from the one that says UEFI Data Traveller 7500mb instead of the normal Data Traveller, I boot into a black screen that says "BOOTMGR is missing" press ctrl+alt+del to restart. Booting into the normal one it still is not working.

                    UPDATE:
I've fixed it. I connected another HDD to see if it would install on that, and it wouldnt. Therefore I got another USB, that was 2.0 instead of 3.0 and it worked like a charm. Thanks for all the input!
