    Problem with usb
    « on: March 25, 2016, 01:36:32 PM »
During the last 2 days I am facing the following problem: My pc runs in Windows 8.1.When I plug a usb drive in a port, my pc produces the usual sound of something new entering but the usb does not appear neither in My Computer nor in Disk Management. Fortunately, it appears in the Device manager menu, but there is a message saying that "The drivers for this device are not installed. (Code 28)", which is curious, because one month ago there was no problem in browsing the usb's files. I have tried the standard solutions of uninstalling and then automatically installing the drivers for this usb and it didn't work. Then I decided to manually install the drivers for the usb, but in the manufacturer's website it is written that the usb is compatible with Windows 8.1 and no drivers are required.
Can someone give me a clue as to what is going on with my pc?
