right click very slow
« on: April 13, 2016, 09:20:52 PM »
I am on a Toshiba laptop, Windows 8.1        Any time I right click it takes 30 seconds, sometimes more to give me choices.    Is there an easy fix for this?      Thank you.    Anna Ruth    I have another email address email address deleted by allan   My other email would not accept my password after a long time of having the address.   Thanks again.

Taking a long time to show the right-click context menu on the desktop or in Windows Explorer is usually due to having a lot of extension programs that add options to that menu. It can also be the result of a malware infection.

Side note: it is a very bad idea to make your E-mail public anywhere online forums or elsewhere, as your E-mail address will be scraped by spambots.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

Anna Ruth - I deleted the email address from your post - as BCP says, you should never post an email address on a public forum unless you want more spam.

BCP - thanks for the heads-up.
