    Can't Delete File
    « on: April 15, 2016, 01:02:09 AM »
There is some web pages that I saved to my desktop that I no longer have a use for an when I go to delete them.  It prompts me that the file is to large an I cant get rid of it.  Windows XP Pro SP 3 (DELL).  I also, tried doing it from the command prompt an wasn't able too.

Have you tried holding the shift key and selecting to delete? ( This is a hard delete instruction )

Never heard of not being able to delete a file because it's too big (you may not be able to move them to the recycle bin, but you should certainly be able to delete them permanently). Also, web page links are not large files - there's something else going on.

Anyway, you can try deleting them in Safe Mode.

You could try Fileshredder 2.50: http://www.fileshredder.org/

Just make sure to change the settings for quick shred. Let me know if this right-click solution works for you.
If at first you don't succeed, try it 1000 other ways..
