« on: July 28, 2004, 11:17:09 PM »
Alright i have had my computer for awhile now and recently my mic stopped working, no one could hear me, then the next day my speakers/headphones stopped working.. would buying a new sound card fix my problem? if not what might be the reason for this?

Either run the Liveware CD on auto insert, or use it as the optional driver disk when you update the driver for the 'PCI Audio Device' in 'Other Devices' in the Device Manager.

Or you can download the SB Live drivers from Gateway, which include better drivers for SB Live on XP machines. Unpack these and update the driver until you find one that works well for you.

Are you attempting to install the drivers for the faulty videocard?

Perhaps uninstalling the videocard and reinstalling them in a different or the same port will allow the computer to detect it.
