    Google Chrome history sync
    « on: November 30, 2016, 12:55:02 PM »
I installed chrome on my computer. I did not sign in Chrome . I  went to facebook. Normally, chrome remembered it in history. After few days I logged in Chrome. My question is "when I logged in, did chrome synchronised history from my computer( I mean on history of websites that I visited before I logged in chrome)?"

Chrome has about 50 % of the market share, some experts say.
Even if that were true, it is not a reason to stick with Chrome.
If you don't like it, you have lots of choices.

Search instead for list of popular Internet browsers

Major Browsers: Opera, Firefox, Safari, Chrome.
        More Cross-Platform Browsers: Mozilla.
        Windows Browsers: K-Meleon.
        Macintosh Browsers: OmniWeb and iCab.
        Linux Browsers: Konqueror and Epiphany.

And there are more... They didn't even mention SeaMonkey. Or Netscape.

Geek he was not askin for browser comparisons...
Using another browser would help identify the issue being the browser.. The OP did not make it clear why he thinks some Chrome feature is the cause of the symptoms.
Here's a video how to try and get Chrome to behave. (Sip ads.)

There is no issue...he asked if chrome logged history if he was not logged in...answer was No.

Kinda simple if you read the Post.

Thank you very much. I opened this topic because I noticed something weird. 5 days ago I was looking some photos on my USB. I opened them in Windows Photo Viewer (that build in viewer that is in Windows). I never opened any image file in Google Chrome but I saw every image file in history in Google chrome. When I remove my USB Chrome can load that images from history even if USB is removed. I saw that Google Chrome loads them from cache. Why Google Chrome remebered that pictures. Also it doesn't happens when I open images from hard drive. I have ESET antivirus so I dont think that I have a virus. Why is Google Chrome doing that? I think that Google Chrome is not synchronising cache but I am not sure.

I want to make sure that you understood me. When I sad I logged in chrome I mean on SIGN IN CHROME function in chrome settings. When I sign in chrome, chrome offers me to choose what I want to sync.

So, that is normal? And also can you explain what you mean by Chrome seeing Windows Photo Viewer history.

Any file management functions in Windows ...whether good or a bad feature..remember the last state that function was used...for example if i save a pic to a specific folder...even after a re=boot the next time i save a pic it'll open to that folder by default...

Personally i hate it as a "feature"...but it is what it is.
