Display problems; dull screen with light black horizontal shadows passing through all fonts and icons. I uninstalled and/or disabled the graphics card and also started my system in Safe Mode. Still have the same problem.

Could this be caused by the Mother board? Or, anyother specific hardware?  Open for suggestions.

Thanks,
SG

steve g... The first thing I would do is...... try your monitor on another machine....... or are we talking about a laptop ?

If you don't know the answer, it isn't a dumb question.

I have an LCD monitor so I disconnected it and tried an old CRT monitor and it had same problem. Took this old monitor to another computer and it worked fine.
