How to find my favicon.ico things?
« on: May 12, 2017, 01:41:23 PM »
Over the years I made lots of favion.ico thugs fro my websites. The sites are mostly gone, but I would like to collect my stuff just because.

So I found them all in a search in my XP machine. I was about to copy them all to a single folder when I realized that I can not do that.

So my questions is this:
When one has a number of image objects  that are visually different and have the same name, how do you make a way to catalog or index them so you can find t hem? Should I just try and save the results of the search? Is sao, how do you save a search in XP?
Thinks   :)

prefix them with the name of the site they are from. cnn_favicon.ico for example.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.

Yeah, that is work I am not like to do work. I would rather watch work.
Is there not some utility that will find a file(s) and write the results to a list?
It would have to give each item some kind of automatic ID. I know I can do  something like that with shortcuts. But I want to have the icons themselves save somewhere where I can use them again.
Thanks anyway. I guess I will just have to rename them one-by-one.

Now that I know favicons are thugs, I want to avoid them.   ;D
