Put a web page on windows 7 desktop
« on: June 07, 2017, 12:54:02 AM »
Really. Not a shortcut, not a link, not an icon. The page itself.
I do this in XP. So the must be a way to do it in Windows 7.
Any help?  :)
Again, not a link, the real content of the page I want in the upper right area of the desktop. It will always be in the background, like wallpaper.

What you are referring to was "Active Desktop"

It was removed starting with Vista due to security concerns and lack of popularity. It was replaced with the Windows Sidebar, and then Windows Gadgets, which themselves got removed iin a security patch due to remote execution exploits.
I was trying to dereference Null Pointers before it was cool.
