    Hi.
I have a problem in downloading updates.

I live in a country with great internet censorship and low speed limited internet services.
Recently, when I want to update my windows 10, suggests new updates for other Microsoft products and it is mandatory!!!

I did not click on the option to download updates for other Microsoft products but it downloads them and uses my allocated internet volume.
(Please take a look at the attachment picture).

Please guide me to deactivate other Microsoft products updates. I want only main updates windows suggests like "cumulative updates" and "hardware related updates".

What Organization is this message in your screenshot referring to? It looks like it has a group policy controlling this, as if its a corporate computer where your not the admin of it and not permitted to make changes and thats why its greyed out.?

    The disabled option is unticked.

What updates are you receiving that you do not want?

that message "some settings are hidden or managed by your organisation" I see when I use ShutUp10.  (maybe other similar products have the same side-effect)
I think the message is generically saying, "someone has overridden the default settings".
now as to why it's greyed out, that could be something else!

What updates are you receiving that you do not want?

For instance, I want to disable Microsoft Office's updates.
        Or for example Skype updates.
And what ever which is not a main update like the pasts.
I just want to receive main windows updates and driver updates like before.

The only settings I changed is "automatic updates" from this cmnd: win+R >> gpedit.msc >> ...
And I did it about one year ago.
But the problem I mentioned to in this thread, happened recently.

Is there anyway to deactivate receiving these updates?
Here is the updates I don't want to receive.
And I did not tick the option of receiving these:

            I don't think you understand...
Each app has settings for updates...and you have to set them all

Simply turning off Win updates for example has nothing to do with what Skype wants to do...or Office...

Windows Update does perform the Updates for things like Office and Skype. Which is what the "Give me updates for other Microsoft products when I update Windows" Those aren't updated when they are unticked.

Only reason I can find for the checkbox to actually be disabled would be in domain environments with special group policies in place, as it isn't even available in the group policy window, so I don't know why it would be disabled.

I'd think Mark had the right idea- this is probably something that was caused by an aftermarket utility you may have run for privacy or telemetry concerns. You might try undoing the changes with said program if you did run it.

Otherwise, you can try the Windows Update troubleshooter, Start->Search "Troubleshooting" should find it, it's listed as "Fix problems with Windows Update". When you start the troubleshooter there is an "Advanced" link in the wizard- you'll probably want to click that and then click the "Run as Administrator" link before running the troubleshooter.

patio is right, with Windows 10, it's all or nothing, but in the specific updates you have shown, you are lucky in that they are all Microsoft based so you could go to Start, Settings, Update & Security, Advanced Options, and untick Give me updates for other Microsoft products when I update Windows.

Unfortunately as per his original post, that option, for some reason, is disabled and inaccessible.

No, this is not a work PC.
This is my private personal computer.
Is it possible that Eset Security Software override update setting?
