    Share URLs via email
    « on: September 15, 2017, 04:41:17 PM »
    Dear Experts

Sometime I need to share some URLs (news , technologies,,,,tec) via gmail account to friends and co-works.
But what happens when they receive emails and click on the links , those links won't reveal the real topics (wrong web site)!!!

Why this happens ? How can we share links via email ?

    Thanks

Are you manually typing these links or copy pasting them from somewhere? Additionally are these URL's ones that require a logon to where you cant get to the destination because a roadblock is the logon requirement?

Then they're goin about it the wrong way...
Try a test email...in the Compose window there is a pic of a link...clik it and copy /paste tour link...you can also add your own title to the link

I am using my gmail and recipients gmail as well, and I have been experiencing this problem long ago not recently

For instance those two below links when I sent them via email ends up showing some other websites

        http://www.afr.com/business/retail/costco-wholesale-to-launch-online-store-in-australia-20170818-gxzl1g

First link should be : costco-wholesale-to-launch-online-store-in-australia-20170818

Second link should be : Foreign-agl-boss-earns-69m-while-households-struggle-with-power-bills

We don't care about the story, only the link workings. The first story is open to all, the second one is not.

Could be email client used by recipient, or url not correct in email.

Member sites break their hotlinks....this is by design.
